Pete Fitzboydon joined the Foundation in 2004, having started his career through the FA’s fast-track graduate programme, before moving on to gain experience in sport and leisure consultancy. Originally from Bath, Pete is a keen follower of all sports, particularly football and rugby, as well as being an avid fitness enthusiast. Pete is a graduate of Loughborough University, where he gained a BSc and MSc in Sports Science, before spending a sabbatical year as President of Loughborough Students’ Union.
Pete is responsible for the operational support services which enable the Foundation to run effectively and efficiently. This provision is made up of Human Resources, Finance, IT and Administration functions. This is underpinned by another responsibility - performance management and reporting - which analyses how well the Foundation's systems and processes are performing, enabling potential areas for improvement to be identified and acted upon.
