David McDermott joined the Foundation from the Royal Air Force and is the Director of Operations. He is accountable for providing the strategic direction for the grant assessment teams, setting the priorities and policy for this key area of the Foundation’s work and for ensuring that grant aid programmes are delivered efficiently and in line with the Foundation’s policies.
David has had extensive exposure to football at a variety of levels, including as a player for Hitchin Town. He has managed representative teams and is currently serving on The FA’s Football Development committees.
David is also a Trustee of Kick It Out, football's anti-racism campaign.
