All applications must have security of tenure either by freehold or uninterruptable leasehold. The length of leasehold requirements is flexible depending on the level of grant applied for:

£50,001+ 25 years 21 years
£20,001 - £50,000 15 years 15 years
£10,001 - £20,000 10 years 10 years
£ 0 - £10,000 5 years 5 years
However, the Foundation would encourage all applicants to obtain the longest lease possible.
An applicant who only holds a licence on the property / site will be required to have the freeholder or leaseholder as joint applicant.
