A junior kit scheme application is judged purely on whether the group meet the necessary criteria and demonstrates the appropriate need for a kit. If they do, they are offered a grant, if not, the application is rejected.
Once an application is received at the Foundation, it is checked for eligibility and for any missing details i.e. contact details, by an administrator. The application is processed and if successful the applicant will receive an offer pack within 4 weeks enclosing a voucher for £400, together with a catalogue/order form from our nominated supplier. The applicant sends their completed order direct to the kit supplier with their voucher attached.
If unsuccessful, the applicant is sent a letter within 4 weeks giving reasons why the grant was rejected.
Should we require any additional information or any requested documents are missing, we will contact you within 4 weeks in order to help us complete our assessment.
Please be aware that during peak times, such as the summer months, application processing may take slightly longer.
