Every County FA in the country had the opportunity to supply information on the cost of items locally. We used this information to work out an average cost for things such as hiring pitches, referees, coaches and FA qualifications.

We looked at the average amount of money it cost under the old CSGS to start a new team. Taking both parts of this research into consideration the final figure agreed was £5,000.

We also needed to reduce the amount of money we gave out, so we could continue to support lots of clubs (and other organisations) with less money, rather than a smaller number of clubs with more money.

We also no longer ask for partnership funding, so successful applicants are receiving a 100% grant.
