GO SHOPPING TO FUND
THE GRASSROOTS
We have joined forces with ClubWebsite to create an exciting
source of revenue for grassroots sports organisations, simply
through tapping into online shopping.
The initiative – currently under the working title ‘Club Cashback’
– sees the Foundation team up with the country’s largest
provider of free football club website templates.
The concept is simple: any grassroots football club (or school
or other sports club) will be able to get their players, coaches,
volunteers, pupils or supporters to do their shopping via an
online portal with a percentage of the transaction going back to
the club.
We will keep you informed as it develops!
FOUNDATION
TEAMS UP WITH EA
SPORTS AND WAYNE
ROONEY
EA Sports celebrated the release of FIFA 12 with a new initiative
called Love Football Play Football. The Foundation helped the
campaign by distributing 5,000 of EA Sports’ free footballs to
amateur teams and local communities, enabling FIFA 12 fans to
transfer their gaming skills from their thumbs to their feet.
The distribution of footballs into local communities was
supported by exclusive skills tutorials starringWayne Rooney.
Wayne created a series of Love Football Play Football skills
tutorials to provide consumers with the chance to get the most
out of their new balls. They can be viewed at

FIFA 12 pack-star,Wayne Rooney, commented:
“When I was
growing up, there wasn’t a better feeling than getting a new
football. As soon as you got it, you’d head down to the park
with your mates for a kickabout. We hope Love Football Play
Football encourages more amateur players to re-create their
FIFA 12 goals in real life!”
The balls are supporting programmes where football is used as a
vehicle to tackle social inclusion, health, education and equalities.
