Thrapston Town JFC will be among the main users and are delighted that they no longer have to change in rusty shipping containers! Spelthorne MP Kwasi Kwarteng was at the opening of Kenyngton Manor Recreation Ground’s new sports pavilion – a facility which will benefit, among several other local clubs, Colne Valley Girls and Ladies who are the largest girls and ladies club in the area. KWASI KWARTENG MP SPEL- BOUND BY NEW CHANGING ROOM £79,960 Grant: BOOST FOR BURTON as Nigel Clough swings by to open new 3G pitch £140,593 Grant: Burton Albion FC Manager, Nigel Clough, dropped in on Anglesey Primary Academy pupils to open their new 3G pitch. The pitch will be used by the Burton Albion Community Trust during evenings and weekends to deliver its community programme and several local grassroots clubs. Crick Athletic FC will soon be able to leave behind the damp Portacabins they change in, when their new changing room is built. Local MP Chris Heaton-Harris presented a cheque for the new building which will be used by Crick’s 17 teams. £201,132 Grant: CHRIS HEATON- HARRIS predicts bright future following cheque presentation BEST WEDNESDAY EVER for pupils as they get FREE new pitch! Sir Dave Richards, former Chairman of Sheffield Wednesday FC and the Football Foundation, joined current Wednesday stars Fernando Forestieri and Modou Sougou, as well as Sheffield Sharks basketball star, Mike Tuck, to open a small-sided 3G pitch at Valley Park Primary School. The striking red-and- yellow striped pitch was kindly provided by and installed by SIS Pitches – a member of the Football Foundation agreed framework of 3G contractors.
