FA Chairman, David Bernstein, and Football foundation chairman, Gary Hoffman attended Boldmere sports and Social Club's opening ceremony

On Saturday 10 December 2011, David Bernstein and Gary Hoffman, officially opened a new third generation (3G) artificial grass pitch and changing room pavilion in Birmingham.

Locals were celebrating the opening of the facilities which will provide playing opportunities for children from the surrounding area, the Football Club achieved the FA Charter Standard Development Club award in 2007 and is currently working towards gaining Community Club status.

The new facilities comprise of four team changing rooms and a new artificial grass pitch, which were made possible to a £464,000 grant from the Football Foundation and an additional grant of £250,000 from The FA, as part of their capital allocation within the Whole Sport Plan agreed with Sport England.
