Saturday 21 May 2011 saw FA Chairman, David Bernstein open new changing room facility at De La Salle Sports & Social Club.
The project was funded with the help of a £498,140 grant from the Football Foundation
The ceremony event was also attended by Football Foundation President, Lord Pendry, Frank Hannah MBE, President of the Manchester FA, Jack Green, Chairman of the Manchester FA and Colin Bridgford, Chief Executive of the Manchester FA.
The new provisions will allow De La Salle football and rugby teams to play, train and welcome opposing squads to a modern changing facility and first class natural grass sports pitches. The remodelled site will include four dual gender changing rooms, two officials’ changing rooms, coach education room, spectator toilets and plant room and team storage areas.
