On Friday 18 November, the local people of Diss Town were celebrating the opening of their new artificial grass pitch. The new 5-a-side area will allow teams and individuals within the local vicinity to coach and play small-sided games on the new 3G surface, which will be managed by Diss Town Football Club. The project was funded with the help of a £19,000 grant from the Football Foundation.
Richard Upson Chairman at Diss Town Football Club, said: “We are delighted to have the use of this new 3G 5-a-side area as well as being able to offer it to clubs and groups within the community. We would like to thank the Football Foundation in helping us to achieve this.”
