Sir Bernard Lovell School had its official opening on Thursday 15 September and was attended by ex-pupil and their guest of honour for the day Ian Holloway.
The day began with a tour of the facility which was absolutely amazing. It included seeing the new fitness suite, main hall, dance studio, 3G pitch, tennis courts and spinning room.
After all the guests finished looking at the site they were invited into the main hall for the official opening. There were performances from the school's percussion group and choir which were very moving and showed how proud the school were of their new facility. With speeches from David Turrell (Executive Headteacher), Roger Burden and Ian Holloway, the site was officially opened. It was a proud moment for the school and a project the Foundation should be very happy to have contributed to.
The project was funded with the help of a £735,000 grant from the Football Foundation. Funded by the Premier League, The FA, and Government via Sport England,
