The Football Foundation has teamed up with The Down’s Syndrome Association in support of their DSActive programme by donating £125,916 to help develop 12 new Down’s syndrome specific football teams across the country over the next three years. Football Foundation Ambassador, David Sheepshanks, presented the cheque to the Down's Syndrome Association.
Saturday (9th October) saw ITFC Charitable Trust, the Charitable arm of Ipswich Town Football Club, play host to the official launch of the new programme. Ipswich kicked of their ten weeks of football training for those with Down’s Syndrome aged between five and 25 living in Suffolk.
