Football Foundation Trustee Phil Smith and Olympic Gold Medalist Jonathan Edwards officially opened the new grass pitches at Long Lane Junior Football Club.
The project was funded with the help of a £174.391 grant from the Football Foundation. Funded by the Premier League, The FA, and Government via Sport England.
Not only do the club now boast a state of the art venue but they have also been chosen as an official training site during the Olympics for football and will host the finalists of the competition next summer.
