The Football Foundation's 2003 survey of football facilities across England found that they were in a poor state and that 95% did not even cater for women's football - the fastest growing sport in the country. Foundation Chief Executive Paul Thorogood conducted a day of media interviews with 61 national and regional radio stations reaching an audience of 5.8 million to demonstrate the charity's work in supporting women's football and football more widely.
