Faye White presents free kit to her old school

Three days before jetting off to Sweden for the final of the UEFA Women’s Cup, Faye White MBE handed a new football kit to the girls at her old school.

Faye, who captains both England and Arsenal Ladies, was promoting the Foundation’s Junior Kit Scheme (JKS).  JKS encourages thousands more girls and boys to bend it like Beckham by providing free high quality Nike strips and equipment worth £400.  So far over 150,000 young players have been kitted out thanks to the JKS initiative.

Faye White MBE, England and Arsenal Ladies’ skipper, said:

“Women’s football is the fastest growing sport in the country.  The Football Foundation’s Junior Kit Scheme is a great way of encouraging girls into the game and giving them the best possible start.

Earlier this year Faye also presented the Foundation’s 10,000th kit to a girls’ team from Sir Frederic Osborne School.  The lucky team also got the chance to join in on the Arsenal Ladies squad’s training session.
