Hebden Bridge saints JAFC
Hebden Bridge Saints JAFC are located in West Yorkshire, near Halifax. The club was formed in 1984 with one team. Dedication and hard work from enthusiastic parents and volunteers has enabled the club to develop to offer junior football to all boys and girls of all ages from 5 to 17. There are currently mixed and single gender teams up to Uunder 11s, in addition to five girls teams and 14 boys teams participating in competitive Sunday League Junior Football.
The Club has achieved FA Charter Standard Development Club status and is currently working towards becoming a FA recognised Community Club. Hebden Bridge Saints JAFC is also a Registered Youth Organisation and a Registered Charity. The Club demonstrates its commitment to providing football to children through links with local schools by organising football training courses.
The Club promotes a shared identity and loyalty through organising regular fund raising events to buy new nets and posts, pay for coaching courses, match and training venues. It has been a successful season, winning an array of trophies and shields in both league and club competitions as well being awarded ‘Club of the Year’.
The Under 7s Girls and Under 11 Boys will commence their first competitive season with new kit and training equipment, assisting them in gaining the best possible start.
Manager Graeme Turpin said: “These two teams will walk out on to the pitch next season with their heads held high sporting their new Nike kits. This is the first season for both teams, so when faced with no kit, no sponsor and no money the team turned to the Football Foundation for a helping hand. Both teams would like to thank Football Foundation for the donation.”
