This video from a London based Kickz tournament provides a background summary to the development of the Programme and demonstrates how Kickz has grown rapidly across London. At least two projects are delivered in every London borough and all Professional Football Clubs in the capital deliver Kickz in partnership with local authorities and police safer neighbourhood teams.
A number of interviews with the Metropolitan police, Football Foundation and delivery staff were conducted on the day. The young people and volunteers taking part also express how much Kickz means in their communities.
This first pan London Kickz tournament was organised by Crystal Palace with young people from across the capital gathering in South London to compete.
The clubs represented on the day included:
Brentford, Charlton, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Leyton Orient, Millwall, Tottenham Hotspur, Watford, West Ham United.
