local partnerships
Multi-agency working will be an intrinsic part of the project at all levels. Kickz is managed centrally by the Football Foundation and Metropolitan Police, with a range of partners co-ordinating and delivering individual projects locally. Delivery partnerships will utilise the knowledge and expertise of steering groups and will include the following local partners: Professional Football Clubs, Safer Neighbourhood Policing Teams, Youth Offending Teams, Youth Services and Local Housing Teams. Support from others bodies such as Connexions, Sports Development Teams, County FAs and outreach workers along with any other relevant parties is also encouraged.
Local steering groups ensure the right areas are targeted and any issues are dealt with at a local level. With officers from these partners attending sessions, barriers will be broken down between the “authorities” and the young people taking part. In this way other services and opportunities can be signposted and maximised.
