chelsea football club foundation

Chelsea Football Club Foundation is an excellent community scheme, working with young people from the deprived areas of London and educating them about life skills using the power of football to promote their message. They have a number of running community initiatives such as Kickz and Positive Futures, which can teach the young people to become responsible members of society and further down the line, give something back to the Community.

The Foundation is involved with the Metropolitan Police Service in ‘Operation Blunt’, an anti-knife campaign which educates children on the dangers of knife crime. Initiatives such as these, which Chelsea are involved with, encourage children and young adults to make their own judgements and think about the consequences that their actions might have.

This is a youth club for 12-16 year olds based in the Surrey region of Walton. It runs three evenings per week and includes many activities such as table tennis, pool, basketball, badminton and football. Youth club members and their family will also have the opportunity to experience a number of Chelsea FC experiences including a visit to the Chelsea Training Facility and Football Club.

Regular members can become part of the Youth Club football team and 5-a-side leagues.

Members who are struggling in school can take part in training courses such as a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) or Vocational Recognised Qualifications (VRQ) in Community Sports Work.
