hull city football in the community

Hull City Football in the Community was set up in 1990 and has since become a well established, progressive and self-supporting scheme that reaches out to communicate within the Hull and East Riding area. It is managed by the ex-Hull City goalkeeper, John Davies.  The scheme’s main targets have been to improve the range of services on offer thus encouraging a greater number of young people to access football activities. Its aims are to:

  • To enthuse, stimulate and challenge children through football
  • To raise awareness of all our activities and encourage participation within the community
  • To encourage children to support Hull City Football Club
  • To maintain and develop positive relationships within the community
  • To highlight the benefits of a healthy lifestyle
  • To provide positive role models for children.

After being successfully promoted to the Premier League, Hull City FC’s Community Programme will be working with the PL/PFA Community Fund to deliver more high quality initiatives in the community.
