Are you a school teacher, coach or youth worker? Have you got a group of football loving children who might need a bit of encouragement to read more?
Then why not take the Premier League Reading Stars Challenge!
Every season 20 Premier League footballers become Reading Stars for their club and encourage the nation to have a read of their favourite titles.
This year, our 20 footballers are encouraging any group of youngsters in the country to take the PLRS Challenge – a target of reading 100 books as a team as quickly as possible!
Every participating group receives a FREE PLRS wall chart and 100 stickers to place on the chart each time a book is finished.
Every group that completes the challenge is entered into a quarterly grand prize draw to win top Premier League prizes!
Literally ANYONE can take part!
To request your FREE PLRS Challenge pack visit the challenge website
(The pack is completely free, don't worry that there is a cost section on the site, you won't be charged!)
To register a completed poster and enter our prize draw complete the online form
Once you have finished your project, please take a photo of your group with their completed poster and send it in to ralph.newbrook@footballfoundation.org.uk
The February draw took place on the first of the month, and the lucky school to be picked out was Weston Park Primary School in Bristol, who won a brand new set of 2010 Reading Stars book titles and a host of Premier League goodies.
The 2010 Challenge will be available from March 1st 2010, with a brand new poster, but the same premise!
Quarterly draws will then take place on:
01/05/10
01/08/10
01/11/10
01/02/10
