Community grants include:
Stage 1 – For these projects the monitoring form is combined with the claim form, to be returned every six months. It details the progress against the agreed project KPIs, as well as who is taking part, what activities are taking place, and the partnerships with other local agencies that have been developed. A report is then produced and sent to the relevant review partners ahead of stage 2 monitoring.
Stage 2 – This is identical to the capital stage 2 monitoring, except it is run by panel members with expertise in the relevant field: for example education, BME inclusion, disability sport, healthy living, etc. A report is then returned to the Foundation including the updated targets and any potential issues. For grants of less than £20,000, only a small number of projects are included in this stage.
Stage 3 – This is also identical to the capital model, in that consultants are used to make recommendations to resolve issues raised in stage 1 or 2 monitoring. Grants of less than £20,000 are not included in this stage.
