Gary Neville

Biography

A former defensive stalwart of both Manchester United’s Class of ’92 squad, where he won 20 trophies in 19 years, and the England national team, Neville is the country’s most-capped right back. After retiring from playing, Gary went on to become an England first team coach, interim manager of Spanish top-flight club Valencia, and is a highly rated pundit for Sky Sports. He is also a co-owner of Salford City.

Gary is a Football Foundation Ambassador. Our Ambassadors support the Foundation's commitment to building better community sports facilities across the county, which support the health of the nation – its people, communities and economy.

As The FA Chairman’s Commission recently stated, improving this country’s dire grassroots facilities is critical to success of the game. As an England coach I find it very encouraging to see the Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund making a difference.
