About the Football Foundation

The Premier League, the FA and the Government’s charity, the Football Foundation (Foundation), is the largest sports charity in the UK – with an annual budget of c. £72 million, which is invested into grassroots football. The prime objective of the Foundation is to deliver the National Football Facilities Strategy, a targeted investment into local grassroots football facilities to improve the quality and experience of playing at this level, while improving lives and strengthening communities.   

About the Premier League Fans’ Fund

The Premier League Fans’ Fund Grants Scheme (Fans’ Fund) is a commitment to fund projects and organisations’ which improve the relationship between fans and their clubs, the way football supporters engage with each other, and fans experience of the game. 

What are we looking for?

The Foundation is seeking to appoint a senior, altruistically-minded figure to chair this important Panel.  A real fan of the game, you must have an holistic understanding of the needs of fans, clubs and key stakeholders, with an ability to empathise with the sometimes divergent requirements of all parties involved in fan engagement work. 

You must have Board level experience and be able to demonstrate sound business judgement, top-level communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to work as part of a team to help the Fans’ Fund achieve its aims.  

We are looking to develop a Panel that is as inclusive as possible and which effectively represents the broad, diverse constituency that the Foundation is looking to support; therefore, we would welcome applications from the broadest spectrum of backgrounds.
