About the Football Foundation

Established in 2000, the Football Foundation is one of the largest sports charities in the World. It is a partnership between the Premier League, The FA and the Government, who between them contribute more than £60 million per year towards the development of football facilities across the country, 40% of which is targeted at the 20% most deprived communities. The Football Foundation is responsible for the execution and delivery of the National Football Facilities Strategy.

The role

The Receptionist role is the first point of contact for all external enquiries to the Football Foundation (Foundation), including by phone and email. As such, the Receptionist is an ambassador for the organisation, and an important member of the Football Foundation team. The successful candidate will need to learn about, and have a deep understanding of, the grant schemes delivered by the Foundation in order to answer grant enquiries. 

As well as answering potential and current applicant’s queries, the Receptionist will greet visitors, book meeting rooms and travel as well as any ad-hoc work that may arise.    

What are we looking for?

Successful candidates will have experience of working in an office environment, as well as providing administrative help and/or reception cover. The post holder should have experience of dealing with confidential information and working within a multi-disciplined team.  

Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as demonstrating a friendly and personable manner with a professional approach.  The post holder will also need strong organisational skills and the ability to self-motivate. Most importantly, a willingness to work as part of a team to help the Foundation achieve its aims is a key part of the role.
