Evesham United worked with Worcestershire County FA to secure a massive £955,457 worth of funding from the Foundation towards building a new community football complex at their new home ground.

Evesham’s new site includes six changing rooms, seven community grass pitches, and a space for social functions. The facility enables the club to provide proper facilities to host matches.

The new facilties opened this year, with a match against a Manchester United XI that included former stars, Dennis Irwin, Sammy McIlroy, Clayton Blackmore and Andy Ritchie.

Evesham United Chairman, Jim Cockerton said:

“The project has taken years of planning and to see the stadium complete and ready to use makes it all worth while.”
