When taking part in physical activity, whether as a player, coach, spectator, employee or volunteer, it is important to take sensible measures to maintain good hygiene. Good hygiene practice, by both organisations and individuals, helps ensure that everybody involved stays fit and well enough to keep up the activities they love and get the most enjoyment out of taking part.

Sport England have come together with Public Health England and other industry experts to produce a new toolkit for sport and physical activity deliverers on how to encourage good sports and physical activity hygiene.

The guide has been developed to help organisations implement good hygiene across their establishments simply and effectively, no matter the activity, sport or venue.

The materials available are encouraged for use by organisations throughout the industry, and include social media assets, posters in a range of dimensions, website imagery and an animation that can be shown on screens at venues.
